It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Hello lovely!

Wow – first blog post! It seems only fitting that I write about the most wonderful time of year: Christmas.

Christmas has always been an ethereal experience for me. For as long as I can remember it has been what I’ve looked forward to most year after year. Yes, I’m that person that watches¬†The Holiday in mid-July, and starts sneakily listening to Christmas music mid-October. I won’t shove it in your face until at least halfway through November, but nevertheless there I am: home alone, dancing around my kitchen to¬†Mariah Carey and Wham! on November 14th.

This year, however, I decided to (officially) wait until December 1st to go full-frontal festive (mostly because my partner told me I wasn’t allowed to decorate the house until then). Putting up the Christmas decorations has long been one of my favourite parts of Christmas, perhaps because it’s one of my happiest childhood memories; that, and decorating mum’s shortbread cookies.

Anyway, my partner and I had bought all of our decorations weeks earlier, so by the time December 1st rolled around I was dying to release my inner elf. We donned our Christmas jumpers, blasted my Spotify Christmas playlist, and decked the halls.

I recorded a time-lapse of the decorating process for your enjoyment here.
